(Apparently, I take all my selfies from the same angle.)
Almost a week after C2E2 2013, I finally feel like I’ve recovered. I’m slowly working on FINALLY adding my Chicago TARDIS costumes and my C2E2 costume… you know, before it’s already ACen?
Updated with new costumes from Chicago TARDIS 2012- Jenny Flint, Drinking Fountain (Blue Kang) and Mary Poppins. I’ll be finishing the page for Lumpy Space Princess shortly. In the meantime, enjoy my collection of selfies!

If you follow me on Twitter (or have known me for the past 25 odd years), you know I’m a huge professional wrestling fan. In Chicago-land, we have plenty of great indy feds and we get tons of live events from the WWE throughout the year. Needless to say, I spend a lot of time and energy on my first fandom. Our Xmas tree is decorated with mini-wrestling figures, our walls are covered with pro graps art prints, and we actually own an LP with “Grab Them Cakes” on it. Don’t laugh… it’s wonderful. You don’t even know…
My favorite Pay Per View of the year is the Royal Rumble. Besides being the kick-off to the “ROAD TO WRESTLEMANIA™” and the start of SIGN POINTING SEASON ::slow point to WrestleMania sign:: it’s an easy to follwo match for even the newest wrestling fan. 30 Superstars (sometimes more, depending on the year) choose numbers from 1-30 which is the number they will enter the Rumble. Numbers 1 & 2 start in the ring and every 1 -2 minutes (also different depending on the year) the next number comes down to the ring. The object of the match is to eliminate your opponents by throwing them over the top rope and BOTH feet much touch the floor (which can be an advantage if you’re a parkour guy or just really good at jumping). The last man (or woman) in the ring after all the participants have entered gets and automatic Title Match for the Title of their choosing at the big one, WrestleMania.Even if you don’t know anything about pro wrestling, you probably know what WrestleMania is. And no… Hulk Hogan won’t be there… god at least I hope not.
Read More»Yup… I’m super behind on my updates. Some holiday sickness hit the house so we’re finally recovering. I’ll be updating photos from Chicago TARDIS 2012 soon. In the meantime, have a Community gif because of reasons.

Look at it in all its majesty.
Yay!!! Fall is finally (officially) here!! All the leaves are changing, the weather is GORGEOUS and Halloween is just around the corner. Cosplay plans are starting to pick up, since TARDIS will be here closer than I am prepared for.
A few weeks ago, I made an awesome fall wreath using a kit from my all-time favorite store, the Paper Source. It’s basically a paper nerds nirvana. We actually used to make field trips from ISU/Bloomington-Normal for our major design projects to pick up supplies. Graphic designer heaven. I also always get all my invitation making supplies from them. Just a gorgous selection and every season they sell different kits for creating wreaths or other seasonal decorations. I purchased the Fall Mum Wreath Kit and I think it turned out pretty awesome (especially considering I can’t find my bone folder anywhere.)

So, first of all the bad news. I’m not going to be making it to Midwestria after all. Just too many commitments and my costume is in need of mending and there’s just not enough time in the day to do it all. Sad.
But!! Two good things! First, all my costumes have been updated! Yay! The last costume I added was my Steampunk Librarian costume that I wore in 2011 for ACen. It’s also my go-to Halloween costume for the moment.
Second good news, you might have noticed (you know… if you care, lol) that I’ve added Dragon*Con to my upcoming events! Yay!! I’ve always wanted to go but didn’t want to go by myself and the lovely Jen is going to go with me and we’re going to be a part of a large cosplay group. But our costumes are also a pair on our own! Sound intrigued? You should be!
